Credit Card Payoff Calculator

Estimate payoff time and interest for a credit card balance using a fixed monthly payment.

Estimate how long a credit card balance may take to pay off when you make the same payment every month and do not add new purchases.

How the estimate works

Each month the calculator adds interest using APR divided by 12, then subtracts your fixed payment. It repeats that process until the balance reaches zero.

Why a larger payment changes the result

Paying more than the minimum can reduce both payoff time and total interest because the balance falls faster.

Important limitations

Real card issuers can use daily periodic rates, different statement-cycle lengths, fees, promotional APRs, and changing minimum payments. This is a planning estimate, not a statement quote.
