Accrual formula
Annual PTO hours are divided by the number of pay periods. For example, 120 hours divided by 26 biweekly periods is about 4.62 hours per pay period.

Some employers front-load PTO, use hours-worked accrual, impose caps, change rates by tenure, or treat holidays separately.
